At HIA, we make sure that students have every opportunity to practice English. Not only do we offer free conversation club and pronunciation practice, but we also offer the chance to practice writing in our weekly HIA Newsletter. Students can choose a topic, then write an article, which is corrected by a teacher and printed each Friday. Another way to practice English is to become a fan of HIA on Facebook. Look at the “English” tab for mini-lessons, the “Notes” tab to read the HIA Newsletter, or leave a comment to interact with others.

March is the beginning of Spring in San Diego. This is the time when the Carlsbad Flower Fields open for visitors. Guests can tour the fields, full of blooming flowers. On March 17, many Americans celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by drinking Irish beer and wearing green. If you don’t wear green, you will get pinched! Finally, March is popular in the U.S. for March Madness, the college basketball championship playoffs. |
