Tell us how long you have been playing water polo. --- I have been playing water polo in Italy since I was 8 years old. I still practice everyday and I love playing water polo. It is a tough but exciting sport.
What was your usual day like in San Diego? --- My host father drove me to a trolley station every morning. I took a trolley to HIA, and studied English until noon. I often went to beaches around school with other Italian water polo players who were also taking "English & Water Polo" program with me. Then we practiced in the late afternoon at several different pools. It was a great experience for me to practice with local water polo teams.
What was the most memorable moment in San Diego? --- I enjoyed participating in the international water polo tournament held in La Mesa. We competed against many American teams from Southern California for 2 days. We got the 3rd place! Yes we were all so happy about it! |
What did you think about HIA and San Diego overall? --- I just love San Diego. It was my very first time to stay this long in the U.S. and I am very happy that I chose San Diego and HIA. I liked the weather, beaches, people, all the places I visited especially Sea World. HIA helped me a lot to improve my English as well. I will be back next year and I will stay longer next time!
