San Diego is one of the best places for people who want to go to high school in the United States.
Human International Academy will support students in registering, English preparation, and local life in San Diego.
We cooperate with a private high school, Christian Unified High School, which is part of Christian Unified Schools of San Diego. It is located in El Cajon, 20 minutes by driving from the center of San Diego.
Christian Unified Schools offer elementary school to high school education (K-12). They have a high rate of students going to a university or college and they also have after-school sports or clubs. Foreign students average 10% to 20% of the student body and each of them receive great care by very trained counselors. The counselors construct very suitable schedules so that foreign students do not have to worry about the difficulties of classes due to language problems.
Before the high school starts, students can develop their English level by the programs that we offer. We will help you prepare for going to high school such as filing the application forms for student-visa and school.
All the students will stay with an American host-family. They will give you a ride every time you go to the school and return to the host family's house. We will receive your requests about the host family and, as much as possible, the school's homestay coordinator will carefully select the family.
Also, Christian Unified High School has a popular golf club. Cottonwood Golf Course is located close to the campus. If you want to study abroad and also develop your golfing skills, this is a very good environment.
Pathway to Christian Unified High School
- Graduate junior high school, get student-visa and flight ticket
- Take the English preparation program (10 weeks to 36 weeks) at HIA and develop your English skills
- High school starts in September or January

Prices of High School Pathway Program
Registration fee: $500
Support for student-visa application and registering for high school are included in the Registration fee.
Yearly Support fee: $3,000
* Life support for the arrival time (such as opening the bank account and getting cell phone etc.), 24 hour emergency phone calls,
Fee for Christian Unified High School
Registration Fee: $450
Tuition Fee (per year): $14,592
* Textbooks and special care for foreign students fee are included in Tuition Fee (per year)
Uniform: $250-$350
Homestay: $800-$1,000 per month
* The coordinator that is selected by the high school will select the host-family. Driving fee to and from high school is included in the homestay fee.
