Where and how long did you do your Volunteering program ?

I worked as a marketing assistant for an international yacht crew recruiting agency for 8 weeks.

They are located right in front of the beautiful San Diego Bay and by the pier.

 

 

What did you do at the office?

Mainly, I did marketing research and data entry. I also processed application forms , and sometimes visited the pier with my boss to talk to yacht owners to gather information.

 

What was the most memorable moment?

The first time I had to pick up the phone and speak in English!!!

I was so nervous..... And also when my boss took me to the pier and showed me so many big yachts and boats. I was so impressed by those unbelievably big and beautiful yachts.

Do you have any advice for students planning to take English & Volunteering program at HIA?

It is an excellent experience to communicate with native speakers and to get an idea of American culture, working and living in America. I really improved my English while I took this program!

I would recommend this program to EVERYONE!!!!
